Wonderful cafe run and prepared by Annie, a French transplant from Washington, DC. She greeted us personally and was very warm and welcoming. I had the Roast beef and Brie baguette, the soup of the day, which was a pulled Pork soup and for dessert, the most lovely pear tarte. I highly recommend all three! Go visit this little gem if you're in the area.

Amazing escargot! Had the roast beef and Brie and it was excellent but make sure that you have room for the pear tart! Yum! I would for sure come back again.

If you are looking for authentic amazing french cuisine this is the place for you! We have been to Annie's Bistro several times for lunch and dinner, and every time the food and service are superb. Carol pours her heart and soul into every meal she cooks, and her passion shows on the plate. Mark is very attentive and makes sure you have the best possible dining experience. I highly recommend Annie's Bistro!

Cute little Reataurant. Awesome food. Their bread is amazing! I never eat bread crust and I ate EVERYTHING today! All the wine are 30 some a bottle. They waste great too. We ordered red snapper, duck and coq au vin. They taste unbelievable! You have to try this restaurant. Well, may be not, so we can keep it a secret and enjoy it just ourselves. ;-)

We stopped in here and sat at the bar for dinner. Great service from Mark the owner nd his wife Carol the chef. We completely enjoyed ourselves. They are running this place by themselves and doing a fabulous job. Will definitely be back.

I have to say, this is my favorite restaurant in Mount Pleasant so far. Cute little bistro. Family owned and operated. We basically grazed since we couldn't decide. The Dijon mustard on the charcuterie plate is amazing. After several appetizer plates we decided on the pork tenderloin to split. Don't even ask the owner for a knife because it's not needed. It was so tender and the roasted mashed potato balls were different and sooooo good. We will definitely be back. We found out that Mondays and Tuesdays, they have French onion soup. So we will be back next week :-)!

Neighborhood gem!!! Good for foodies, dates, and groups. Great meal at French Bistro. Quiet and fun atmosphere. Nothing pretentious - and that means a lot now that Charleston restaurants work harder at getting mentioned in magazines then they do about taking care of locals. Service great, food great, desserts awesome. We were a party of 8 and got to try a little of everything and everyone happy! Great wine selection. Plenty of parking. Will definitely return!!

After living in Paris and Geneva, my husband and I were thrilled to find Annie's. It's the real deal. The sandwiches are excellent, just like you would be served in Europe. The roasted pork is absolutely " to die for"! The accompanying sauce is so good you could pretty much put it on anything. Also, do not leave without having dessert. The owners are personable, fun, and pay attention to every detail. You will not be disappointed!!

Having dined here previously, and having recommended Annie's to a number of friends who dine out regularly here and abroad with nothing but glowing reviews from them, we went back for lunch today and were most pleased. The soup of the day was an outstanding mix of white beans and smoked sausage in a delicious broth. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the escargots (as we had done previously at dinner). Yes, the persillade has a lot of garlic. No, it is not burnt or spoiled or whatever some people claim they tasted. And the marvelous bread that is made on premises is perfect for sopping up the sauce. [Note to a previous reviewer -- if your Publix makes bread this good, please furnish the address thereof so we can visit it!] The prosciutto and roast-beef sandwiches were both served on the same excellent bread and chock-full of first-quality ingredients. If readers go for dinner, do not hesitate to have the chicken or the pork tenderloin (slow cooked in milk, yet still rosy within and meltingly tender). The owners are to be commended for taking the bold step of relocating to a new locale and opening a new business. We do not intend one aberrant review that is contrary to our own experience and kudos from folks whose taste and judgment we trust to prevent our returning regularly. We hope others will feel the same.

Went for lunch and we were very disappointed. We decided that either the other Yelp reviewers are family or else someone else was in the kitchen today. Our meal was just shy of absolutely inedible. We started with escargot and onion soup. I LOVE LOVE LOVE escargot. It's one of my favorite foods ever. What I received was some lovely tender escargot in an awful, bitter, garlic butter sauce. My SO thinks the garlic was bad....I just think there was too much garlic..the chef, when we returned 4 of the 6 escargot, told the waiter that there wasn't enough parsley....Parsley alone would not have fixed that dish. 10 hours later and I'm still burping up the garlic...YUCK! The escargot came with warm bread...bread just like I can buy at Publix...was it Publix bread? Possibly. I ate a lot trying to get rid of the garlic taste (I failed). The onion soup was okay...but the weird thing was that the broth was very light in color...so we asked what kind of broth they used...turns out was mostly chicken stock with some beef stock (not much)....huh? I've never had onion soup that wasn't in a rich beef base. As I said this version was okay...but wouldn't order it again...For entrees we had a sandwich and a salad. The sandwich had an aoili on it. When my SO asked if that same nasty garlic was in the aoili, he was told there was no garlic. I thought aioli always had garlic but we believed the waiter. However when it arrived, my SO (who eats just about anything) could taste (very strong) garlic so he took apart the sandwich, scraped off the aioli and then ate the rest. My salad was okay. Honestly I still tasted/burped garlic so I couldn't really taste it as well as I'd have liked. My impression? the dressing was very mustardy, the chicken overcooked with an overwhelming amount of fresh rosemary, and the salad seemed like it came out of a lettuce container also from Publix...but I can't honestly judge it as I couldn't taste it. We REALLY wanted to like this restaurant, since we love French food, often come to Charleston and having heard that it was only a month old. However, we think the chef (cook) should go back to culinary school and for now, you should avoid Annie's.

Excellent service and excellent product. Establishment is very clean, quaint and fitting for anyone who appreciates French cuisine combined with a bistro atmosphere. It's refreshing to have an establishment such as this join the multifaceted and growing restaurant industry in the Charleston area.

This is an outstanding bistro/cafe. Nothing fancy about the interior, but it definitely has that Paris cafe feel, smell and ambiance - as if you're sitting on the Boulevard St. Germaine. My wife have been several times and will be regulars from now on. Carole and Mark are extremely friendly and caring about the food and service. We highly recommend your going to Annie's. Living in Charleston, there are many options for good food. This gem in Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is now our favorite destination for great food, great service and great atmosphere. If you are looking for any of the above, this is your place! This is our new local place to go and a bonus that it serves great french food and wine! Check it out!

Great rustic French food with wonderful casual atmosphere. Lunch sandwiches (on baguettes) are fantastic, as was the homemade soup (pork & cabbage today). Menu changes daily, so only the freshest ingredients. And the owners/chef are as friendly and accommodating as you will find. Annie's is a little hard to find--it's squeezed into a small storefront in a LARGE suburban shopping center--but well worth it. We'll be back for dinner!

We truly wanted to love this place. We had the oeufs mimosa to start, good but a bit pricey at $8 for an egg & a half. My husband went with the special salad with stuffed mushroom. A bit disappointing with 2 stuffed mushroom caps that were decent (not wowing) on top a bed of traditionally dressed mixed greens. Definitely wouldn't pay $8-$10 for it. I got the pâté & Brie baguette which I was extremely excited for. I am a Huge fan of Dijon mustard but the amount/strength of the Dijon beyond extremely overpowered the sandwich.

Awesome! Lovely restaurant ran by a husband and wife team. The wife does all of the cooking, and she is French. Lovely atmosphere, they are both very welcoming. We started with stuffed mushrooms that were very tasty. Followed with pork tenderloin - mmmmmmm mmmmmmm mmmmmmmm with the most incredible potatoes that were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. My husband had the sea bass and it literally fell off the bone (served as a whole fish). The fish was moist and very, very tasty. We finished with a cheese plate. Their wines by the glass that we had were priced great. What a lovely place. Hard to see, but it is opposite Lowe's and next to Relax the Back and FedEx. Take the time to visit this place. Lovely atmosphere and fantastic food.

This is one of very few "real" French restaurants. It is located right next to Five Guys in Mount Pleasant, in the strip infront of Lowes. It has an intimate feel with bistro style seating; a couple of tables are located outside. The food was outstanding. The menu was very limited but I like that. It is better to have a few superb items rather than many, partially pre-made reasonable tasting dishes. The appetizers varied in price from $10-$14. I had the delectable escargot. It was cooked perfectly so the snails were soft and not rubbery. The garlic was titillating. My friend had the tomato salad which was comprised of a selection of different kinds of tomatoes. Appetizers were served with warm French bread. For $18, there was an appetizer of foie gras available. Maybe next time. For entree I had the snapper. My friend had the trout. Both were $24. At first glance that seems pricey. But the meal was worth every cent. The dishes were comparable to any fine dining restaurant downtown and the proportions were humongous. We could easily have dined upon a single entree between us. Both fish were served in their entirety, from head to tail. Both were beautifully seasoned and simply delicious. So fresh. All entrees are served with the same sides; rounds of potatoes and a medley of haricot verts and carrots. The potatoes are unique and exquisite. Gently crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We rounded off the evening with aromatic bold French coffees. We didn't order any dessert as we were simply overly full. This was a wonderful experience. Service was good. There was only a single server but he managed the few occupied tables with ease. I would highly recommend dining here for those of you with more refined tastes. Downtown fine dining comes to Mount Pleasant. My compliments to the chef.

This restaurant is a real gem. The cook is French and her husband does the bar tending and waiting. The menu is authentic Provençal cuisine. I had the coq au vin which had simmered all day and was exquisitely tasty: not oily or over salted. Just delicious. My husband had the ratatouille which was perfect. Nice French wines by the glass. We shared a cherry clafoutis for dessert which was heavenly. The ambiance is relaxed and comfortable. We will be back!

Pass on this place. It's less than nothing special. So many good, local places to eat. Had hoped that this was one. Nope.

My husband and I love this restaurant. We attend some of their wine tastings. We enjoy the atmosphere and staff. The stuffed mushrooms are one of our favorites. For dinner I had the leg of lamb and the dauphinois potatoes and it was more than i could eat and it melted in my mouth. The service is always magnificent. The Chef and owner always comes out to greet us and check on how we are enjoying our meal. The prices are very reasonable.
